Gresini Racing racer Marc Marquez admitted that he did not suffer any injuries after falling at the 2024 Portuguese MotoGP. He explained that only his shoulder was impacted when he collided with Francesco Bagnaia.
Drama occurred at the Algarve International Circuit, Sunday (24/3/2024). The reason was, Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided and caused both of them to fall at Turn 2 with a few laps remaining in the race.
The Baby Alien – Marc's nickname – managed to overtake Bagnaia at Turn 1 and moved up to fourth position. Then, the defending champion immediately tried to regain his place again by entering from the inside of the corner which ended up causing Marc to hit him from the outside.
The incident also meant that Pecco – Francesco Bagnaia's nickname – failed to finish the race. Meanwhile, Marquez was still able to continue the race and crossed the finish line in 17th position.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez admitted that he was not injured after colliding with Francesco Bagnaia. Even though his shoulder collided with Francesco Bagnaia's motorbike, he did not suffer any injuries.
“No, no, just a blow to the shoulder, but no one was injured,” said Marc Marquez, quoted from Crash, Tuesday (26/3/2024).
Even though he didn't get good results, Marc Marquez admitted he was happy with his performance. The reason is, he has experienced an increase in speed.
“It was a good weekend. I mean, we increased the speed, and that's the most important thing,” he concluded.
