After the critical situation caused by the fires in several areas of Greece, large fires were registered on Tuesday afternoon in Turkey as well.
The most serious situation is presented in the province of Canakales in the northwest of Turkey, where the flames have engulfed several villages and completely destroyed dozens of houses.
Residents have been ordered to evacuate, while fire brigades are working to bring the flames under control.
Currently, it is reported that the circulation of vehicles in the endangered areas has been stopped, as large masses of forests are burning.
The Minister of Agriculture, Ibrahim Yumakeli stated to the local media that until now the inhabitants of 6 villages have been evacuated, while fortunately there is no loss of life.
Meanwhile, Greece is going through one of the most challenging situations due to fires in the country, which had not been experienced for tens of years.
According to data received from satellites, since Saturday, more than 300 fires have been registered in Greece, which have burned 400,000 hectares of forests and bushes.
The day before, the biggest tragedy was recorded due to the fires, where the bodies of 18 illegal immigrants were found burned in the burnt forest of Dadia.
