Suara.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has opened its voice regarding the continuation of the alleged manipulation of former Papua Governor Lukas Enembe’s food allowance, which reached IDR 1 billion a day.
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Nurul Ghufron, said that even though Lukas Enembe had died, his case could still be followed up by calculating state losses.
“What about other cases, sir? For example, it is suspected that there was abuse of authority in budgeting food allowances and other things in the budget in Papua. For this case, if there has been a calculation of state losses, then the calculation of state losses can still be requested for civil compensation. ,” said Ghufron, quoted by Suara.com, Saturday (13/1/2024).
However, in the future, the recovery of state losses will no longer be carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission, but rather by the Prosecutor’s Office.
“Not the Corruption Eradication Commission, but we asked the state attorney to ask for a civil return, because it is not possible to convict someone who is already dead,” said Ghufron.
Meal allowance IDR 1 billion
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) once revealed that Lukas’ operational costs while serving as Governor reached IDR 1 trillion per year, for the last three years, starting from 2019-2022.
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Alexander Marwata, suspects that there has been misuse of the Papua Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
“Each year, the operational funds in question are more than IDR 1 trillion. That is much higher than the provisions set by the Ministry of Home Affairs,” said Alex at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Newsdelivers.com on Thursday, July 26 2023.
“So the regional head’s operational funds are calculated based on a certain percentage of the APBD. This is the operational funds in question, that’s an annual average of one trillion and most of it, after we looked into it, is spent on food and drink costs,” he continued.
Alex said that if you count a day, Luka Enembe costs IDR 1 billion.

“Imagine if of that 1 trillion, a third was used for food and drink, that’s Rp. 1 billion a day to spend on food and drink,” said Alex.
The Corruption Eradication Commission also followed up on the findings to several locations mentioned in the receipt.
“It turns out that a lot of it is fictitious. So the restaurant doesn’t admit that the receipt was issued by the restaurant,” said Alex.
“Of course this will be experienced further, because there are thousands of receipts with proof of expenditure that cannot be verified,” he added.
