Suara.com – PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) shares were observed to have fallen by 8.89 percent. At the opening of the first session, Friday (1/9/2023) GIAA shares opened at level 86 per share.
After 30 minutes, GIAA shares were observed to have touched their lowest level at 81 per share.
The trading volume of GIAA shares this morning reached 171.33 million shares with a transaction value of IDR 7.59 billion.
The decline in GIAA shares is thought to be the result of the issue of the cancellation of Garuda Indonesia’s merger with Citilink and Pelita Air.

BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said that the merger would only be carried out by Pelita Air and Citilink.
“Garuda remains alone. Citilink and Pelita (merged) because Garuda is already good, we will merge Citilink and Pelita,” said Erick at the DPR RI Building, Senayan, Newsdelivers.com, Thursday (31/8/2023) yesterday.
