JAKARTA – The Israeli Embassy in Singapore drew criticism after making a post on its social media account claiming that Israel was mentioned 43 times in the Koran, while Palestine was not mentioned at all.
Singapore's Home Minister K. Shanmugam asked the Israeli Embassy to remove the post, which he called “insensitive,” because he feared it would trigger public anger.
“The post on the Israeli Embassy's social media page is completely unacceptable. I was very upset when I was informed about it,” he said as quoted by Albawaba, Thursday (27/3/2024).
