As the day when the Koran was revealed, it is fitting for us to commemorate the night of Nuzulul Quran by reading verses from the Koran. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the Nuzulul Quran commemoration night has the essence that Muslims must be able to take lessons from the revelation of the Koran by reading, interpreting and practicing it.
Because, the Koran is a guide to life for Muslims which will always light the way in this world and the afterlife. By increasing the reading of the Koran in the month of Ramadan, especially this night of Nuzulul Quran, it is hoped that Muslims will love the Koran more.

The night of Nuzulul Quran is a night full of glory. Therefore, we can offer good prayers tonight. Quoted from the CNN Indonesia page, here are several prayers that we can say on the night of Nuzulul Quran.
– Prayer Asking for the Goodness of the Quran
Oh God, enlighten our hearts with the light of your guidance, as you illuminated the earth with the light of your sun, forever and ever, with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.
Allah is the one who reads the Qur’an in the Qur’an, wa Zayyin Akhlaa Qonna Bijaahil Qur’an, wa Hassin A’maalanaa bi Dzikril Qur’an, wa Najjinaa Minan Naari bi Karoo Matil Qur’an, wa Adkhilnal Jannata bi Syafaatil Qur’an.
It means: “O Allah, enlighten our hearts because of reading Al Quran, decorate our morals with the glory of Al Quran, improve our deeds because of dhikr through Al Quran, save us from the fire of hell because of the glory of Al Quran, enter us into heaven with the intercession of Al Quran. “
– Prayer for Mercy from Al Quran
O God, have mercy on me with the Qur’an and make it for me a guide, a light, a guidance, and a mercy. O God, remind me of it what I have forgotten, teach me of it what I am ignorant of, and provide me with its recitations. It is the night and the ends of the day, and make it a proof for me, O Lord of the Worlds.
Allahumarahmani in the Quran. Waj'alhu is our Imam, our Nuran, our Hudan and our Rohman. Allahuma dzakkir us and nasiitu wa allimni we are jahiltu. Warzuqni tilawat ahu aana allaili wa athrofannahar, waj'alhu li hujatan ya rabbal alamin.
Meaning: “O Allah, have mercy on me with Al Quran. Make it a leader, light, guide, and mercy for me. O Allah, remind me of what I have forgotten from it. Teach me about what I do not know from it. Give me the ability to read it throughout night and the end of the day. Make it a doer, O Lord of the universe.”
These are some of the practices that are recommended for us to do on the night of Nuzulul Quran. Hopefully tonight we can all get blessings, glory and forgiveness from Allah SWT.
