Gresini Racing racer, Marc Marquez, admitted that he was in no rush to think about joining the factory Ducati team, Ducati Lenovo. However, he admitted that he wanted to focus on adjusting his riding style when riding the Ducati Desmosedici and restore his confidence.
Many people say that Marc Marquez will become Francesco Bagnaia's teammate at Ducati Lenovo. In fact, Ducati Corse Sports Director, Mauro Grassilli, said that his party could consider this.
Moreover, Marc Marquez was able to perform well in the inaugural MotoGP 2024 series. Because, The Baby Alien – Marc Marquez's nickname – managed to finish fourth in the main race and fifth in the sprint race which took place at the Losail International Circuit.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez admitted that he was more focused on developing, because it would enable him to get good results. The racer from Spain also admitted that if he continues to get good results, he can look for better options for his future career.
“I'm more focused than ever on continuing to improve, on continuing to have fun, because that will lead me to good results. If I can get good results, then more doors will open and in the end you always have to look for the best option,” said Marc Marquez quoted from Motosan, Friday (22/3/2024).
However, Marc Marquez does not want to rush into thinking about joining Ducati Lenovo. Because, he admitted that he wanted to focus on adapting his riding style to the Ducati Desmosedici and restoring his confidence on the motorbike.
“But I'm in a moment where I'm not in a rush, because right now I just want to focus on my riding style, the way I ride, and how I can regain my confidence on the bike,” he explained.
Previously, Ducati had announced that Francesco Bagnaia would remain with the factory team until 2026. However, the manufacturer from Borgo Panigale will announce Pecco's teammate – Francesco Bagnaia's nickname – in the near future.
Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez are also said to be candidates to become Francesco Bagnaia's partners. Moreover, the contracts of the three drivers will expire at the end of the 2024 season.
