Anthony Joshua's plans to become world heavyweight champion three times have encountered obstacles. The reason is, Daniel Dubois has reportedly recovered and is ready to face Filip Hrgovic.
Anthony Joshua faces a mandatory fight against IBF champion Filip Hrgovic for the title. However, Hrgovic's trainer, Ronnie Shields, said that the closest fight is against Daniel Dubois and is being planned for June 1 in Saudi Arabia.
“We just learned that Hrgovic will fight on June 1st and will likely be against Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia.” Ronnie said.

The IBF has confirmed that it will strip the winner of the undisputed fight if they go ahead with the rematch and instead order a fight for the vacant title between Hrgovic and the next highest-ranked boxer.
Currently, Joshua, who is placed third in the world heavyweight rankings by the main governing body, is a potential opponent for Hrgovic. Meanwhile, the second position in the heavyweight list has not yet been filled at the time this news was written.
The IBF may choose to elevate Dubois to the vacant No.2 spot when their judging panel meets again next month and then order a world title fight between Hrgovic and the Briton.
