Habib Jafar was surprised to hear Vior's question about fasting.
In the Login podcast on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube account, Habib Jafar explained that when fasting Muslims must restrain their emotions to the point of lust.
“When fasting we are not only told to restrain hunger and thirst but also to restrain lust and restrain emotions,” explained Habib Jafar.
Habib Jafar then explained that having lust will not break the fast, but the reward will be reduced.
The fast will be invalidated if the person has sexual relations with their legal partner.
“Oh, I've heard that when you're fasting you can't do sex, right?” asked Vior.
“Yes, that's right, so it can reduce the reward of our fast but it doesn't break it,” answered Habib Jafar.
“What is invalidated is if we have intercourse with someone who is legitimate, especially if it is not legal or if sperm is released if it is a man, that is what is invalidated,” he continued.
“That means fasting is not allowed,” said Vior.
