Eric Nicksick joined Dewey Cooper and boxing legend Mike Tyson when asked by Francis Ngannou to train him in the boxing ring. Even the former college footballer admitted that he cried when he found out about the salary given for the Ngannou versus Tyson Fury fight.
Nicksick admitted that the payout Ngannou paid for the fight against Tyson Fury changed his life. “That's the most money I've ever received from a fighter, which is incredible. It's more than I expected,” Nicksick told MMA Junkie.
“When I looked at my Wells Fargo account that morning, I literally cried. It was a true story. It really made me cry, because he changed my life, not only from a professional standpoint but also from a financial standpoint.

Ngannou reportedly earned USD 10 million or around IDR 155 billion for the fight against Fury, which the heavyweight boxer won in October 2023. But who knows how much salary the UFC champion gave Nicksick.
What is clear is that Nicksick feels fulfilled after training Ngannou in the boxing ring. Because he can truly enjoy life.
“It gives me a lot of financial freedom so I can enjoy my training, enjoy being a father and husband, and I can take my kids to Park City this weekend. The salary helps us buy a new car. There are many things that make Francis moving on to boxing, and the way he takes care of his team. He loves all of us, and He shows it. He takes care of us, and I can't thank him enough.”
