BIRMINGHAM – Indonesian badminton men's singles, Jonatan Christie, managed to secure a ticket to the last 16 of the All England 2024. This ticket was obtained after Jojo – Jonatan Christie's nickname – successfully defeated Taiwanese champion, Chou Tien Chen.
Jojo achieved this victory at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England on Wednesday (13/3/2024) evening WIB. Jojo successfully defeated Chou in a match of two straight games with a score of 21-4 and 21-15.
Jojo started the match with a calm, carefree appearance in the first game. The Jakarta-born badminton player took advantage of the situation to steal a lot of points at the start of the first game.
After a few minutes, Jojo started to step on the gas to bombard Chou's defense. It was observed that the 2024 Thailand Masters champion had difficulty repelling the massive attack launched by Jonathan.
In the end, Jonathan was able to seal victory in the first game with youth. Jojo managed to win with a landslide score of 21-4. Entering the second game, Chou didn't want to be stuck with Jojo's game scheme like the first game.
