Suara.com – Vice presidential candidate number 3, Mahfud MD, admitted that there were allegations that his vote share with Ganjar Pranowo was deliberately locked to a maximum of 17 percent in the 2024 presidential election.
Mahfud's statement then received a reaction from Democrat Party politician, Jansen Sitindaon.

Through his personal X account, Jansen did not expect Mahfud's class to believe in this issue.
“Oh my gosh. It turns out that Prof Mahfud can also believe this,” said Jansen via the account @jansen_jsp quoted on Saturday (9/3/2024).
Jansen also asked Mahfud regarding the vote locking mechanism.
Because, he admitted that he was curious about this technique.
“How do you lock it, Prof? We also want to hear the explanation,” he said.
On the same occasion, Jansen looked confused because he considered that the votes were the result of people's choices.
Jansen also made Mahfud aware of the fact that he had lost the 2024 presidential election.
This is proven by Ganjar-Mahfud getting fewer votes than the presidential and vice presidential candidates number 1, Anies-Cak Imin.
In fact, according to him, Anies-Cak Imin looks defeated in all aspects.
“With Mas Anies alone, you actually lost, even though Mas Anies actually lost everything, starting from campaign capital and so on,” he said.
Mahfud said about 17 percent
Mahfud MD responded to the statement by the Secretary General of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, who revealed that there were allegations that the KPU had deliberately locked Ganjar-Mahfud's vote to only 17 percent in the 2024 presidential election.
Mahfud did not hide that this suspicion had been around for a long time, even before the 2024 election rolled around.
In fact, according to Mahfud, there are similarities between the old issues and the allegations that Hasto has just voiced.
The similarity in question lies in the vote acquisition figures which are both 17 percent.
“(The issue) has been around for a long time, people before the election it already existed, before the voting the issue already existed, it was already locked and the numbers are exact,” said Mahfud in the Pasar Baru area, Central Newsdelivers.com, Friday (8/3/2024) .

Because it is only equivalent to conjecture, Mahfud believes that there needs to be proof to turn it into a fact.
It also left it to the community to evaluate the allegations.
“We just have to prove it later,” he said.
Even so, Mahfud cannot confirm whether this allegation will also be one of the issues he brings to challenge the implementation of the 2024 elections to the Constitutional Court or through the right of inquiry.
“Yes, we'll see, we'll see later,” he explained.
Hasto revealed
Hasto admitted that he received information from a number of information technology experts that there was an attempt to block Ganjar-Mahfud's vote.
“For example, an algorithm was included to lock Mr. Ganjar's earnings to a maximum of only 17 percent,” said Hasto, Thursday (7/3/2024).
For this reason, Hasto believes that there is a need for a forensic and meta audit because the alleged vote manipulation is considered to thwart the possibility of a two-round presidential election.
“In fact, according to IT experts, the election should last in two rounds,” said Hasto.
