Suara.com – The NasDem faction has carried out internal communication across parties in order to use the right to inquire into allegations of fraud in the 2024 elections. Most recently, informal communication was established with the PDIP faction.
“Informally there have been discussions (with the PDI Perjuangan faction), but we are ensuring the maturity of this communication process,” said DPR member from the NasDem faction Taufik Basari in his statement, Thursday (7/3/2024).

According to Taufik, PDIP is one of the keys. Bearing in mind, apart from being the initiator of the right to inquiry, PDIP is also the party with the most seats in the DPR at the moment.
“Because they were the ones who initiated this inquiry right proposal and are also the largest faction and we respect it, we are also waiting for the PDI Perjuangan's readiness,” said Taufik.
This member of Commission III of the DPR said that the NasDem Party is preparing the requirements for submitting the right to inquiry.
He emphasized that in the future NasDem will remain ready to use the right to inquiry, even without PDIP.
Meanwhile, regarding when the right to inquiry will be submitted to the DPR leadership, Taufik has not provided certainty because it must be measurable.
“This means that the substance must be strong, including the reasons, for example which law violations occurred, what policies we want to investigate, or which budget misuse has occurred, that is what we must ensure is included in our inquiry right application,” said Taufik.
Commitment to Use the Right to Inquiry
Previously, Taufik emphasized the NasDem Faction's commitment to using the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 elections.
The affirmation of this commitment follows the stance of three factions, namely PDIP, PKB and PKS which have voiced the right to inquiry through interruptions in the plenary meeting, Tuesday (5/3).
“Until now, we are committed and supportive of being part of the right to inquiry,” said Taufik to journalists, Thursday (7/3/2024).

It is known that, despite being committed to using the right of inquiry, the NasDem faction did not voice this at the plenary meeting as did the other three factions. Regarding this, Taufik gave an answer. He emphasized that the mechanism for submitting the right to inquiry is not in plenary.
“We have conveyed the party's position conveyed by the secretary general of the NasDem Party at the NasDem DPP, together with the secretaries general of PKB and PKS, so we feel there is no need to repeat it in the plenary session. “So, if we didn't interrupt yesterday, that doesn't mean we are not committed or no longer supportive,” said Taufik.
He said that currently NasDem is preparing the basic materials for submitting the right to inquiry with the signatures of DPR members from across factions.
“So, it would be wrong to think that we are not committed, yes, we understand that the mechanism is not through interruption. The interruption is a conveyance of aspirations received from the community. “More concretely, we will immediately prepare the conditions for this right of inquiry,” said Taufik.
