Suara.com – The TKN Prabowo-Gibran Steering Committee and National Campaigner (Jurkamnas), Khofifah Indar Parawansa believes that East Java will be one of the determinants of the victory of the Prabowo-Gibran pair in the 2024 presidential election.
Khofifah assesses that the people of East Java have a spirit and spirit of nationalism that is in line with Prabowo, presidential candidate number 02 in the 2024 presidential election.
“We want to convey that Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and the archipelago were born from the Earth of Majapahit and it is in East Java, because as Prabowo always echoed about national insight and nationalism. The heart is in East Java,” said Khofifah during the National Gathering event at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday (2/3/2024).
On that occasion, Khofifah together with 1,600 members of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and community leaders in East Java, including Emil Elestianto Dardak, visited Prabowo's residence at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Saturday.
During the event, Khofifah also invited all NU Muslimat members to pray for Prabowo to become the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia who will be inaugurated in October 2024.
“God willing, the one who will be inaugurated in October will be the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. General TNI (HOR) Prabowo Subianto who will carry out his duties as well as possible together with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” said Khofifah.
Dai said that in the 2024 election, East Java will be the province with the second most votes after West Java. The number of voters in West Java reached 35,714,901, while in East Java there were 31,402,838 voters.
Prabowo, after hearing Khofifah's speech, expressed his gratitude for the support of the volunteers, figures, kiai, ulama and the people of East Java who supported him and his partner Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mrs. Khofifah, Muslim mothers; ulama fathers; for the honor and hard struggle given to me to get to RI 1,” said Prabowo.
He praised the attitude of his supporters in East Java who were firm and not shy about supporting the Prabowo-Gibran pair.
“Since I was young, I have always felt close to Nahdlatul Ulama, as you know, I was said to be one of those who was very close to Gus Dur. From very young, we knew each other. He also often comes to my house. In fact, his house is right across from my grandfather and grandmother's house. “He is a person who has guided me in many ways,” said Prabowo.
Gus Dur or KH Abdurrahman Wahid is an important NU figure who is also the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Therefore, in front of NU Muslimat members, Prabowo hopes that they will always support him. “I still need your support. Keep watching me. Let's eradicate poverty together. “I have strength today because of the support of all of you,” said Prabowo.
In the interim results of the recapitulation of the Indonesian KPU votes, the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka were ahead with 58.83 percent of the vote as of Saturday at 22.00 WIB.
His two rivals, namely serial number 01 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar received a provisional vote of 24.49 percent, while serial number 03 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. 16.68 percent.
The KPU on its official website shows that as of Saturday at 22.00 WIB the number of ballots counted had reached 78.04 percent. (Between)
