Suara.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again awarded BPJS Employment as the best Gratification Control Unit (UPG) after recording the highest score in the Monitoring and Evaluation of the 2023 Gratification Control Program.
This award is the fourth, where BPJS Employment previously received it consecutively from 2017 to 2019. The award was handed over directly by the Director of Gratification and Public Services of the KPK Herda Hemijaya to the Director of Finance of BPJS Employment Asep Rahmat Suwandha at the KPK building, Thursday (29/2 /2024).
In his speech, Herda emphasized that the main aim of the UPG is to create public servants who are participatory, accountable, responsive to complaints and transparent. “Don't hesitate to ask for our help. Together we will improve the public service climate that is free from corruption, especially free from gratuitous practices,” he stressed.
On this occasion, the Director of Finance of BPJS Employment, Asep Rahmat Suwandha, welcomed the appreciation given and expressed his readiness to continue collaborating with the Corruption Eradication Committee to create clean public services.
“We would like to thank the KPK for the appreciation given. This success can certainly be achieved thanks to the commitment and consistency of all BPJS Employment personnel who always implement good governance and maintain integrity. We are also ready to continue collaborating with the KPK to provide quality services and free of corruption,” said Asep.
Asep further explained that as an institution that manages workers' funds of more than IDR 700 trillion, serious efforts are needed to maintain this trust. One of them is by continuing to strengthen the role of integrity shoots in every work unit throughout Indonesia. Apart from that, the BPJS Employment UPG also consistently identifies points prone to gratification, mitigates risks, and swiftly follows up on reporting gratification.
Everything is done so that workers can work without worry because all funds are protected and managed prudently.
“In the future, we will continue to oversee the gratification control program through innovations that support increasing the anti-gratification culture within the BPJS Employment environment. So this will indirectly increase public trust in BPJS Employment,” concluded Asep.
