Suara.com – Vice presidential candidate (cawapres) number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked his volunteer supporters to guard his younger brother, Kaesang Pangarep, who is currently the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) ahead of the 2024 regional elections.
This request was made specifically by Gibran when attending a meeting with his volunteers who are members of Bolone Mase Se-Indonesia at the Sunan Hotel, Solo on Friday (1/3/2024) afternoon.
“Keep your ranks close, strengthen consolidation, this is not over yet. The regional elections, gubernatorial elections and I too, I personally ask that my younger brother, PSI, also accompany me,” he said in front of hundreds of Bolone Mase representatives.
In his speech, Gibran also stated that the results achieved by PSI were not satisfactory in the 2024 elections. However, he advised that the party bearing the rose symbol should not be left behind.
“And even though the results are not yet satisfactory, at the DPRD level, the provincial DPRD has shown quite good results.”
“But once again, I personally entrust this to PSI, don't leave it behind. But once again, ladies and gentlemen, our focus at the end of this year is the regional and gubernatorial elections,” he said.
Apart from entrusting his younger brother who is currently on the political stage, he also asked his volunteers to intensively hold meetings and consolidate in welcoming the Pilkada.
“I ask for the intensity of the meeting, the intensity of the consolidation, don't slacken. We must get ready again to prepare for the 2024 regional and gubernatorial elections.”
As is known, currently PSI's steps to get a seat in the DPR have not produced results. In the KPU's real count, Friday (1/3/2024) as of 21.00 WIB, PSI had only received 2,363,507 votes. This number was collected from 540,826 TPS or 65.7 percent of the total 823,236 TPS.
