At this demonstration, the workers will bring three demands.
The first demand is to ask the government to reduce the prices of basic commodities.
Second, withdraw the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.
Meanwhile, the third demand is to enforce clean elections.
Said Iqbal emphasized that workers must take to the streets because of the situation that society is currently experiencing.
Namely when food prices are soaring, but wage increases are inadequate.
“So it is certain that the wage increase will not be sufficient for the current increase in prices of basic commodities,” he explained.
Moreover, currently the majority of Indonesian people who are Muslim will welcome the holy month of Ramadan.
He hopes that the government will control food prices.
“Because of that, we ask the government to immediately reduce the prices of basic commodities, including rice, eggs and other basic food items. Because if they are not reduced, the price increase ahead of fasting will soar even higher and be uncontrollable,” he said.
