Suara.com – A group of academics held a demonstration in front of Newsdelivers.com State University (UNJ) Rawamangun, East Newsdelivers.com, Wednesday (28/2/2024). They consist of the student movement and a number of lecturers.
The protesters burned tires which sent clouds of black smoke rising into the air.
This action highlights President Joko Widodo's political sins.
The crowd of students unfurled posters containing Jokowi's five political sins. One of them is Jokowi's stance in supporting the presidential candidate who kidnaps 98 activists and human rights violators.
Four other political sins, namely building dynastic politics, reviving the neo-new order, weakening the eradication of corruption, and ignoring the welfare of the people.
“Burning these tires is a symbol of resistance that the people's resistance will continue to burn!” said a UNJ lecturer, Ubedilah Badrun from the command car.
This action is entitled Rawamangun Calls, Rawamangun Fights, Rawamangun Moves. This action is a form of protest against the state practices carried out by President Jokowi's government recently.
Meanwhile, in this action, the academic community also demanded three things, namely demanding a reduction in the price of rice, demanding a reduction in the price of basic necessities, and rejecting an increase in fuel, electricity and toll rates.
