Suara.com – Oppo Air Glass 3 was officially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2024 or MWC 2024 which was held in Barcelona. These are augmented reality glasses that will be a competitor to the Apple Vision Pro.
If the Apple Vision Pro is like diving glasses, the Oppo Air Glass 3 is designed like ordinary glasses. This device is also equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the form of a voice assistant.
Since these are AR glasses, users can see a variety of digital content superimposed on the real-world display they see in front of them.
So users can access several applications such as messages or maps with a background of the surrounding environment, quoted from CNBC, Wednesday (28/2/2024).
Oppo Air Glass 3 needs to be connected to an Oppo cellphone. For control, users can use the touch sensor on the side of the frame.
Oppo says its newest AR glasses are equipped with a voice assistant powered by a large language model (LLM) called AndesGPT.
LLM is an AI model that is trained on large amounts of data and powers many chatbots, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, which has exploded in popularity over the past year and a half.
This Oppo chatbot is able to carry out information searches and conversations to help users carry out tasks such as planning trips. Unfortunately this voice assistant is only available in China.
Oppo claims that glasses are suitable hardware for AI because of their natural features such as visual and voice interactions. Its weight of only 50 grams makes it ideal as a smartphone companion.
Even so, the Oppo Air Glass 3 is a prototype which indicates that the glasses will not be sold to the public. Previously they also introduced the Oppo Air Glass 2.
