New arrival singer, Rhea Asmara has just released her first single entitled Glue. Rhea also collaborated with Kamga Mo as her music director in releasing her new single.
Rhea said that the song tells the story of a woman who never gets confirmation from the man she loves.
“This song tells the story of a girl who likes a guy. But this guy doesn't give certainty,” said Rhea Asmara when met in the Kemang area, South Newsdelivers.com, Friday (23/2).
Kamga, as a music producer, admitted that he was very interested in collaborating with Rhea Asmara. He also revealed the reasons that made him confident that his collaboration with Rhea would be successful.
“The opportunity to make R&B music is quite rare. So when the opportunity arose, I was quite excited. I also found out what kind of music Rhea liked. She even sent me a playlist of her music and after I listened to it, I felt like it clicked,” explained Kamga. .
“Rhea doesn't even try to be melodious. That's something that is very rare for singers outside of pop. We have a habit or tendency that when we sing we have to be melodious. Even though R&B is the same as rock music, we already know what the character is like,” he continued.
The singer of Indo-German descent admits that he has loved music since he was a child. Rhea admitted that she was inspired by Billie Eilish for vocal techniques.
“Yes, I have liked music from a very young age, 4 years old. I have started to like several genres of music. I also have an interest in the world of music, at school I took music lessons and vocal lessons,” said Rhea Asmara.
“My inspiration is Billie Eilish. Because I followed Billie from a young age, from SoundCloud until she finally became famous,” he concluded.
