MADRID – President of the Spanish League (La Liga) competition operator, Javier Tebas, gave his opinion regarding the potential for Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid. Tebas said he would be happy if the French star player really came.
It was recently claimed that Kylian Mbappe had agreed to join Los Blancos – Real Madrid's nickname. The 25 year old player has reportedly signed a contract at Real Madrid.
Mbappe's arrival is certainly a highlight in European football, especially the Spanish League. Tebas said Mbappe would be a fantastic player in the competition.
“Of course, this is fantastic news for Real Madrid and Spanish football,” said Tebas, quoted from Marca, Saturday (24/2/2024).
“He is one of the top players in the world. “In my opinion, Bellingham, Haaland and Mbappe are the three dominant players on the planet, and two of them are now at Real Madrid,” he continued.
Furthermore, Tebas believes that the purchase of Kylian Mbappe will not burden Real Madrid. The La Liga president said Los Blancos did not need to sell players to bring in Mbappe.
“This is a club with a very good economic position. The president and general manager are very capable administrators, but they are not very good at organizing new competitions,” said Tebas.
“They are not required to sell anyone to buy Mbappe, not at all,” he added.
Mbappe himself is reportedly willing to reduce his salary if he joins Real Madrid. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player will earn half as much salary as his current club.
