And I'm ready to become the first Mexican cruiserweight champion. When I moved to this division, I had my eyes on Arsen and I can't wait to show my skills in the ring,” said Zurdo Ramirez.
“I feel very comfortable in this division and will aim for the undisputed title. I want to thank DAZN, Golden Boy, WBA, my team and family for all their support and I can't wait to see everyone on the 30th,” he said .
“There has never been a Mexican cruiserweight world champion, but 'Zurdo' is always special, and I really hope he will bring home the WBA belt on March 30,” said Golden Boy Chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya.
“After becoming Mexico's first super middleweight champion, Zurdo can now do the same at cruiserweight. With all this motivation, I expect a knockout – and a spectacular one,” he continued.
Oscar De La Hoya's remarks were welcomed by Adolfo Ramirez, vice president of programming and booking, SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater and Hollywood Park. “We are thrilled to welcome Golden Boy Boxing back to the YouTube Theater for the second time, cementing our place as the premier destination for world-class boxing in the heart of Inglewood,” said Adolfo Romero.
