Suara.com – The Bali General Election Commission (KPU) has spoken out regarding the issue of election participants' votes being eaten by leaks. It is known that in this area a number of repeat voting or PSU voting was carried out.
The Bali KPU ensures that there will be no fraud in the 2024 elections on the Island of the Gods even though there are a number of PSUs being held in the province.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Bali Province KPU I Dewa Agung Gede Lidartawan. He dismissed the issue of votes fluctuating in the InfoPemilu portal and the Sirekap system because they were being eaten by “Leaks”.
“So there is no issue of being eaten by the leak, it's all real at that TPS. “So I hope for help, because these narratives are disturbing our society,” he said, Thursday (22/2/2024).
For your information, “Leak” is a term in Balinese mythology for a human incarnation who masters black magic.
Lidartawan further said that currently they have reached the recapitulation stage at the sub-district level, but this does not mean that the votes in the system do not fluctuate because they continue to update and correct them if the previous figures were misread.
The term “Leak” continues to reach the ears of the Bali KPU, so Lidartawan ensures that the science of leakage does not enter the electoral realm.
According to him, it is normal for mistakes to occur, but it is certain that the election organizers in Bali did not commit fraud.
“What is clear from my monitoring from collection to recapitulation is that now in the sub-districts I have all the videos in all the sub-districts in Bali Province that the witnesses said that there was no fraud in Bali,” said Lidartawan.
According to him, these narratives have disturbed the public, there were many questions that cast doubt on the results of the 2024 elections, until finally the Bali KPU asked the committee at the sub-district level to open the ballot box if there were any doubts.
“Let me clarify that the Sirekap problem was not intentional. “That's because not all friends at the TPS have the same understanding of using cellphones to take photos of the results,” he stressed.
To anticipate similar issues, Lidartawan is currently asking all election participants to wait for the district recapitulation results which are targeted to be completed before Galungan Day, February 28, he does not want to make assumptions about the current count so as not to cause chaos.
Even if fraud is found, he invites election participants to report it to Bawaslu so that it can be resolved immediately so that there is no dispute before the Constitutional Court.
“Later, when the sub-district already exists, I can collect the results, because the data is clear, any errors in the data have been corrected. Later, if I tell you now, pluck one, pluck one, then you'll say it was eaten by a leak again. “From the beginning, many votes have gone down,” said Lidartawan. (Source: Antara)
