Suara.com – COO of Bhayangkara FC, Sumardji, feels confused and surprised by the poor performance that his team continues to show so that they have not moved from the 2023-2024 Liga 1 relegation zone.
The presence of several top players such as Witan Sulaeman and even Radja Nainggolan has not had a significant impact on The Guardian's performance.
Most recently, Bhayangkara FC lost badly 1-4 to PSS Sleman in the match week 25 of Liga 1 2023-2024 at PTIK Stadium, Newsdelivers.com, Thursday (22/2/2024).

This defeat made the 2017 League 1 champion team sink further to the bottom of the standings. Bhayangkara FC currently occupies the last position or 18th place with a collection of 15 points from 25 matches.
Looking at the remaining nine matches of the season, Bhayangkara FC has a big chance of being relegated to League 2 if they don't achieve positive results.
Sumardji admitted that he had difficulty digesting the situation experienced by Bhayangkara FC. He felt that the team had worked hard during training but Radja Nainggolan and his friends still showed poor performance in official matches.

“I don't know either, I'm also surprised how ugly it is like this,” said Sumardji after the match.
“Even though I have repeatedly said that I try to make time to watch the children practice.”
“The results during training are also good, but why during a match like this, I also don't understand what is going on,” he added.

Sumardji admitted that management had plans to expel Mario Gomez if Bhayangkara FC's performance did not improve. He said he would see the team's development in the next two or three matches.
“If this condition does not improve automatically, we have to hold the coach accountable,” said Sumardji.
“I just have to give the coach a grace period. If he is still in this condition, the consequences are that according to the contract, he has to resign. Yes, maybe 2 or 3 more matches,” he concluded.
