Suara.com – Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) and Acting Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Polhukam), Muhammad Tito Karnavian believes that there will be no structured, systematic and massive fraudulent practices in the 2024 Election .
He suggested that various practices that were considered problematic could be followed up through mechanisms that had been regulated according to the provisions. Tito also asked all parties to wait for the results of the official recapitulation from the KPU.
“There is evidence that Bawaslu reported it, Bawaslu is not satisfied that there is DKPP, later there will be another process from the MK, the Constitutional Court,” said Tito after the 2024 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) in South Newsdelivers.com, Tuesday (20/2 /2024).
Tito also believes that the 2024 elections will run safely and smoothly. Not to forget, he also expressed his thanks to all stakeholders who have worked hard to ensure that the 2024 elections run safely.
“On behalf of the Minister of Home Affairs and also the Acting Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, I would like to say thank you very much to all stakeholders so that the elections on February 14 2024, thank God, can run smoothly and safely,” said Tito.
However, Tito admitted that there were several shortcomings, such as areas that had not yet held voting due to flooding, and the potential for conflict, such as in several areas in Papua. In general, the implementation of the 2024 elections was going well.
Furthermore, Tito explained, the elections in Indonesia were the largest in the world because more than 200 million citizens exercised their right to vote in one day. Moreover, the democratic party not only elects the president and vice president, but also members of both central and regional legislatures. This does not happen in other countries, including the United States, where elections are not held in one day.
“So that is one of the most complicated things, the most complicated thing, mobilizing people to go to the polling stations and vote, including the mobilization of almost 8 million officers and 800 thousand supervisors, is not an easy job,” he concluded.
