Apart from that, the advantage of short poetry is that it is easier to memorize. Before writing poetry, it would be good to first understand its meaning and characteristics.
What is poetry?
Quoting from the book Memorizing Indonesian Language Material for SD/MI classes 4, 5, 6, publisher Bmedia (2022), poetry is known as a literary work written with beautiful and meaningful words. One type of poetry is children's poetry.
The themes that are often chosen in children's poetry are the themes of parents, themes of animals and the natural environment, religious themes, and themes of struggle and heroes. The physical elements of poetry are diction (word choice), implementation of imagination, figure of speech, concrete words, rhyme or rhythm and typography. The inner elements of poetry are theme, feeling, tone and atmosphere
Just like other literary works, poetry also has characteristics. Poetry is structured concisely by combining every element of language.
Not only that, other characteristics are that poetry is written with attention to rhythm and sound and is imaginative. Poetry also contains expressions of the poet's feelings and thoughts.

When you grieve, I hurt too
My little girl, listen… wise advice,

This poem describes advice for living everyday life. Can be used as a source of inspiration as quoted from various sources:
1. Open a Book
(Open book poetry is the work of Anonymous)
We will go
Find what we are looking for
We will go
To a place we haven't been yet
We will travel
To the place where dreams and dreams are there
We will go together on our table
And we will go there
In page after page of our book
(The poem Planting Will Reap is Sumino's work, excerpted from the book A Long Journey, a Collection of Poems of an Elementary School Teacher for His Students.
The journey of life
Never stops even for a moment
Always walking despite many obstacles
Will step even if there is no purpose
Whoever sows will reap
The most beautiful plant is prayer
The best form of worship is prayer
Carried away in the eternal realm
Life is a momentary struggle
Waiting for something definite to come
Sending the divine bosom
Tuk picks what is grown in this state
3. Story about my friend
(The story poem about my friend is the work of Anonymous)
There are black and white
Like and sad
Moaning laughter and tears
Or a wound that is so painful
In staggered steps
On a tired body
My friend…
Your story moved me
Because I know
In your life I keep everything about me
In your life I leave a little note of mine
And the colors of my life
Where red and blue, gray and purple
It's there…
