Suara.com – Producer and actor Gandhi Fernando seems to have disappeared from the hustle and bustle of the film world. After seven years of absence, the producer of the film Pizza Man made a comeback with the horror film Lampir.
Interestingly, in this Vision+ collaboration film with Creator Pictures and Sinergi Pictures, Gandhi Fernando also developed the script. This 34 year old figure admitted that he had been preparing the story for the film Lampir for quite a long time.
“I've always liked the character Mak Lampir. He has a distinctive laugh and an interesting background story. So, 10 years ago, I myself had a story for this film which was finally realized and perfected by me together with Kenny (Kenny Gulardi, director) said Gandhi Fernando, in an official statement received by Suara.com.
For Gandhi Fernando, Mak Lampir was an iconic figure and made a deep impression on his memory. For this reason, the film star Mantan is trying to introduce the figure of Mak Lampir to millennials.
“I feel very honored to be able to return as a feature film producer after seven years to be able to reintroduce the iconic character Mak Lampir in the modern era to the younger generation,” said Gandhi.
In the film Lampir, Gandhi Fernando plays the character Robi who is the closest friend to Wendy (Jolene Marie) and Angga (Rory Asyari). However, Robi also has a bad relationship with his best friend, Rizki (Ge Pamungkas) because of a problem they are keeping secret.
Returning to acting in front of the camera is a burden in itself for Gandhi Fernando. Moreover, in this project, Gandhi shared his concentration and thoughts as a producer.
“Honestly, I'm quite nervous, especially since I have to break my head as a producer too. But fortunately, with a very supportive cast, plus a positive working environment. My work space as a producer and actor is not messy at all, I can work on “My two roles in this film were very good and optimal, thanks to everyone's support,” added Gandhi Fernando.

The film Lampir tells the story of Wendy and Angga who are about to get married, and finally invite several of their friends to help take their pre-wedding photos at a villa.
But apparently, their plan turned into a terrible nightmare because the villa was inhabited by Mak Lampir who was waiting for their arrival in order to get food that could make him beautiful.
Ardina Rasty also made a comeback in the film Lampir, which was released on February 11 2024.
