Suara.com – BUMN Minister Erick Thohir also responded to the documentary film Dirty Vote which is currently being discussed by the public. This almost 2 hour long film shows the conditions of the general election (Pemilu) which were deemed not to be good.
According to Erick, there is nothing wrong with someone making the film. As long as the film is not a black campaign or a black campaign that opens up the wounds of one pair of candidates (paslon).
“Yes, that's part of democracy. What's important is that we don't carry out a black campaign, that's not allowed,” he said when met after voting at TPS 17 Gudang Peluru, Tebet, South Newsdelivers.com, Wednesday (14/2/2024).

The documentary film Dirty Vote was released on February 11, 2024 by the WatchDoc production house on the YouTube platform.
The film features three constitutional law experts, namely Zainal Arifin Mochtar from Gadjah Mada University, Feri Amsari from Andalas University, and Bivitri Susanti from the Indonesian Jentera College of Law (STH).
The three experts took turns and together explained a series of events that were believed to be part of election fraud. In several sections, several experts also criticized Bawaslu for not being firm in imposing sanctions for election violations.
According to them, there is no deterrent effect so that election violations tend to happen again.
In his written broadcast, Dandhy Dwi Laksono as director of the film Dirty Vote said that the film was a form of education for the people who on February 14 2024 exercised their right to vote in the election.
“There are times when we are supporters of presidential and vice presidential candidates, but today I want to invite everyone to watch this film as citizens,” said Dandhy.
He explained that the film was made in about two weeks, which included the process of research, production, editing, until release.
The making of the film involved 20 institutions, including the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI), Bangsa Mahardika, New Indonesia Expedition, Ekuatorial, Indonesian People's Faction, Tulisem, Indonesia Corruption Watch, JATAM, Lokataru, LBH Pers, WALHI, Kurawal Foundation, and YLBHI.
