Suara.com – Various unique names have emerged ahead of the general elections (elections) which are held every five years in Indonesia.
In Jember, for example, there are six unique names with one word, namely God, included in the final election list (DPT) for the 2024 Election in Jember Regency, East Java.
Jember Regency KPU Commissioner Ahmad Hanafi said that one of the six Gods had died, so now there are only 5 Gods participating in the elections in Jember.
“The number of voters named God is one less than in the 2019 election, where six were recorded because one of them had died,” he said at the Jember KPU office, citing ANTARA, Tuesday.
The five voters named God, said Ahmad, were respectively in Tutul Village, Balung District, Pringgowirawan Village and Karangbayat Village in Sumberbaru District, Slawu Village in Patrang District, and Kemuninglor Village in Arjasa District.
More specifically, the name of God in Tutul Village was entered as a voter at Polling Station (TPS) 22, then God in Pringgowirawan Village at TPS 19, God in Karangbayat Village at TPS 12, God in Slawu Village entered TPS 12, and God voters in Village Kemuninglor is registered at TPS 13.
If in Jember there is God, it is different in Singkawang, West Kalimantan, there is a DPT with a name that is no less unique, namely Pocong. It was so unique that Pocong was removed from the DPT list in 2013 because his name was considered fictitious.
“There is something called 'pocong' in Singkawang Regency. When the name was removed, the Singkawang KPU protested and apparently the name and KK were sent,” said KPU Chairman Husni Kamil Manik in 2013.
Pocong himself is registered as a resident of Sagatani Village, South Singkawang, Singkawang City. He admitted that he always took part in voting every time an election was held, including the Wako and Gubernatorial elections in 2013.
Unfortunately, it is not known whether Pocong's name will still be registered as a DPT in the 2024 elections.
There is also another unique name, this time similar to the name of one of the presidential candidates, namely Menang Prabowo. He is a resident of Jati Village, Mayangan District, Probolinggo City, East Java.
KTP in the name of Menang Prabowo (special doc.)
From the KTP in circulation, Menang Prabowo was born on September 13 1989. Since childhood he has lived in Probolinggo City even though he was born in Bondowoso, East Java.
A name that is no less unique belongs to a woman from Pekalongan, namely Q. She confused KPU officials and went viral on social media.
The reason is, Q only has a name with one letter.
It didn't stop there, the officers became increasingly confused because it wasn't only Q who had a unique name in their family. Apparently Q's older brother also has a unique name, namely Ly.
