Suara.com – The political system in Indonesia cannot be separated from the big role of political parties or political parties. Nowadays, the role of political parties is starting to be questioned and criticized.
PDIP Politician Bambang Pacul provided an explanation regarding the role of political parties in the Indonesian political system and the current phenomenon of people losing their trust in political parties.
“I will ask you, what kind of animal is the party?” said Bambang Pacul in his explanation as quoted from the Mojokdotco Youtube channel, Sunday (11/2).
“What kind of animal is a party? You have to know what kind of animal a party is. Party from its previous definition has no function. Party from the word part means part. Party is part of the Indonesian people who have similar aspirations,” continued Pacul.
Pacul explained twice that those who joined the party had similar aspirations.
“(They) are in one party. Red party, yellow party, blue party. These aspirations are similar,” explained Pacul.
However, Pacul said that even though those in the same party have similar aspirations, what they are fighting for is different.
“What is being fought for is different. What is Pak Pacul fighting for? Aspiration. The function of aspiration must be clear first. So the party must have an aspiration function,” he explained.
Pacul added, when parties carry out their aspirational function, they will make those aspirations aggressed and articulated. Which culminates in a struggle to ensure that these aspirations are heard and turned into policy.
“The party is fighting for the aspirations of its people or not. Its members want to fight for it or not. To fight for (aspirations) you need actors. The actors are cadres. So the cadre recruitment system must be implemented by the party,” he explained.
Pacul also said that what is no less important than the party's function is carrying out its educational function.
“After that, the new party can think about its electoral function. If the 7 party functions are carried out then the party will be a healthy party,”
Pacul said that automatically, when a party is healthy, it will produce the best cadres who can carry out and listen to the aspirations of the people.
“The cadres are not stunted and don't have to drink milk,” said Bambang Pacul.
