Suara.com – The National Awakening Party (PKN) is optimistic that it can qualify for Senayan in the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg). This is because two survey institutions said that PKN's electability has approached the Parliamentary Threshold (PT), aka the 4 percent threshold.
The first survey institution was Ide Cipta Research and Consulting (ICRC) which announced that PKN received 2.3 percent of the vote, with an increase of almost 2 times since November 2023.
Then, the Way Lestari Indonesia survey institute released almost the same findings, namely that the PKN figure had reached 3 percent.
Deputy General Chair of PKN, Gerry Habel Hukubun, assessed that the two opinion poll results made him increasingly optimistic that his party could take a seat in the DPR RI. He also said that his party would work hard to make it happen on voting day on February 14.
“Of course we are grateful and appreciate these two findings, surveys definitely use scientific methods. “But for us, the real political work is in the field,” said Gerry, Monday (12/2/2024).
Gerry said that the General Chair of PKN, Anas Urbaningrum, routinely asked his cadres to go to the field in remote areas.
“Mas Anas did not stop traveling to remote areas to meet voters, even until the last day of the campaign. Maybe currently there is no longer a party chairman who is willing to work as diligently as he has. This Ketum's perseverance has infected the cadres and legislative candidates in the regions to continue fighting ” he concluded.
