Alumni and action coordinator, Geri Permana, urged President Joko Widodo or Jokowi to return to the spirit of the constitution in the state.
“We urge Jokowi to maintain neutrality and not take sides with any of the pairs of candidates for President and Vice President in the 2024 elections, or if he wants to take sides, then with all due respect, he should resign from his position as president,” said Geri, in his statement, Friday (9/2/2024).
He also urged state institutions such as the KPU, Bawaslu, TNI-Polri and their ranks, to be neutral in the 2024 elections.
“As well as carrying out their respective main duties and functions so that the organization and implementation of elections is in accordance with the constitutional mandate based on the principles of direct, general, free, secret, honest and fair,” he said.
