Suara.com – Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto satirized people who disguised themselves as fishermen and said there was no need for a free meal program.
This innuendo was conveyed by the General Chair of the Gerindra Party during a political oration at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, West Java (West Java), on Thursday 8 February 2024.
In a video uploaded to the National Mandate Party's TikTok account, Prabowo initially admitted that he would provide nutritious food to all Indonesian people if given the mandate to lead Indonesia.
“Our first step is that we must provide nutritious food for all Indonesian children,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo then quipped that there were people disguised as fishermen and said there was no need for free lunches.
“There are those who disagree, how dare you. Posing as fishermen, pretending to be farmers, and saying we don't need free lunches,” he said.
Prabowo joked that the person was being proposed to receive the image trophy.
“It is being proposed to receive an image trophy,” he said.
Prabowo explained that free, nutritious lunches will make Indonesian children strong and have smart brains. This also allows Indonesian children to compete with other nations.
“The nutritious free lunch will make our children strong and able to compete with other nations,” he explained.
Previously, Sappe's name suddenly went viral after confiding in presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan while campaigning in Parepare City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel).
Sappe turned out to be a legislative candidate from PKS. He then provided clarification on the viral video. Sappe admitted that he was really a fisherman who lived on the coast of Parepare City.
“What is certain is that we are the children of fishermen living on the coast of Tonrangen, Parepare city,” said Sappe.
Sappe admitted that he had planned to lead an action to take fishing boats to gas stations. The reason was that at that time it was difficult for fishermen to get fuel.
He also admitted that he is currently running as a legislative candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party or PKS.
“Can't a fisherman's son be a legislative candidate? Of course not,” said Sappe.
There are also those who question Sappe's appearance.
“So that's our way of conveying our aspirations. There are also people who are taking issue with my necklace. This is not a gold necklace, nor is the ring gold,” he said.
