JAKARTA – PSSI Exco member Arya Sinulingga stated that the naturalization process for Ragnar Oratmangoen and Thom Haye is being accelerated. Both processes are awaiting the hammer blow of the People's Representative Council (DPR).
As is known, Ragnar Oratmangoen is a Fortuna Sittard player and Thom Haye is currently defending SC Heerenveen. The two players are projected to soon be able to defend the Indonesian National Team in the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone.
Arya said that currently the DPR has not been able to process the two players. This is because the DPR has entered a recess period, namely outside the session period.
“Ragnar and Thom Haye have settled things with the government. We want to take it forward to the DPR,” said Arya in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/2/2024).
The bespectacled man said that this condition had to be accepted in the naturalization process for both of them. The reason is, PSSI cannot force the DPR during its recess to hold a session.
“We don't blame anyone. Because that's the schedule,” he said.
Arya said that in early March it was likely that the Ragna and Thom Haye process would continue. Because, at that time the DPR recess was over.
“The DPR is in recess today until March 7,” he said.
