We can usually find the flight attendant profession in modes of transportation such as planes. However, flight attendants are now also available on premium class AKAP (Inter-City Inter-Provincial) buses.
So is the salary for bus and plane flight attendants the same?
Insertlive's interview with Khoirunnisa or who is familiarly called Ica Rosalia, one of the AKAP bus flight attendants, which went viral was quite extensive, starting from the responsibilities to the pay as a bus flight attendant.
Having a vital role, Ica said that the basic salary earned from working as a bus stewardess is the same as the UMP for one of the cities in Central Java.
“So the salary doesn't follow the UMR, but what you get per month is the same as the UMP for one of the cities in Central Java,” said Ica.
Bus attendant pay also depends on the initial departure and final destination. The longer the route taken, the greater the payment you get.
“So the fees, for example, if we go from Newsdelivers.com to Yogyakarta and Merak to Malang are different, bigger than from Merak to Malang,” he explained.
Apart from the basic salary earned, a bus stewardess also gets a travel bonus which is usually received immediately when going on duty.
“So the calculation is per trip. For example, for round trip I get two salaries, one for travel money and one travel bonus. The travel bonus is usually given in cash, if the travel money is usually disbursed during payday,” he explained.
