Rice, the food that occupies the highest peak in the Indonesian diet. Most people in Indonesia will always serve rice at the dinner table. If you haven't eaten rice, it feels like something is still missing.
The habit of Indonesian people who cannot stay away from rice is really different from that of Caucasians in general. Why do Caucasians consume rice less often than us Indonesians?
What is the reason, how come Caucasian people don't eat rice that intensively? Here's the explanation!
For most European people, rice is not the main food ingredient

As we know, European staple foods are dominated by wheat ingredients such as bread, cereal and pasta. The Robert Schuman Foundation in its report wrote that as much as 45 percent of cereal crops, namely wheat, are grown in the European Union.
So, does Europe not produce rice?

Of course there are, especially in Mediterranean countries such as Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Rice consumption has socio-cultural significance and rice production plays an important ecological role in Mediterranean countries.
However, rice production in Europe only contributes around 0.4 percent of total world rice production, citing Sustainable Eu Rice.
The Agriculture and Rural Development-European Commission report also explained something similar. When compared with rice production in Indonesia, it is very different. Indonesia is in the top 3 largest rice producers in the world with a percentage of 10 percent.
How come rice production in Europe and Indonesia is different? One factor that influences this is the difference in seasons in the two countries.
Planting cereal crops such as wheat on the Blue Continent is considered more effective than growing rice. Because of this, more people are producing wheat and making it the main food ingredient in European countries.
So, it is not surprising that European Caucasians eat rice less often than Indonesians. For them, not having eaten or not eating rice does not mean they have not eaten. They realize that their staple food is not rice but wheat.
Contrary to Indonesian habits. You're not full and you can't say you've 'eaten' if you haven't eaten rice. Are Beauties one of those people?
