Suara.com – Komika Arie Kriting highlighted the ideas of the presidential candidates in the fifth debate for the 2024 presidential election which took place on Sunday 4 February 2024.
Arie said that Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo's ideas were too connected. The reason is, both respond to each other. Arie Kriting said this in an upload on the X account @Arie_Kriting, seen Monday (5/2/2024).
“It's too connected, Mr. Ganjar and Mr. Anies. Mr. Ganjar explained, Mr. Anies nodded in agreement,” he said.
However, said Arie, presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, was only busy talking about eating.
“Pak Prabowo, just eat whatever is offered. If the food isn't healthy, it can even cause illness, sir,” he said.
According to Arie, the people will be in trouble if the free food budget is cut.
“For example, if the lunch budget is cut, that's a shame for the people,” he said.
Previously, Prabowo Subianto admitted that free internet was important to reduce digital inequality, but free food was more important for the Indonesian people.
Prabowo said this in response to a question from presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo who touched on his remarks in Pontianak on January 20 2024.
“If the internet is free, yes, I agree. But don't free internet be more important than free food. Food is absolutely for our people, they have to eat, children have to eat, poor people have to eat,” said Prabowo.
At that time, said Ganjar, Prabowo said that people who want free internet usually don't have the ability to think.
“I have free internet for schools, for MSMEs. But, there is something interesting, in Pontianak on January 20, you said that people who want free internet, sorry sir, have slow brains,” he explained.
According to Ganjar, free internet is important to overcome digital inequality in Indonesia. Ganjar then asked Prabowo.
“Do you agree with fixing this digital inequality and how?” Ganjar asked.
Prabowo replied that he did not mean to call free internet unimportant. He suspects that Ganjar received incomplete information regarding his statement.
“Maybe you didn't hear what I said in full. What I said was, which is more important, free internet or free food for people in need, the poor, the lower classes, that's what I meant,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo feels that free internet can indeed overcome the problem of digital inequality. He even admitted that he would bring free internet to all of Indonesia if he was elected president, but he would still prioritize free food.
“If I become president, I will bring free internet to all villages throughout Indonesia. That's clear. But, free meals for Indonesian children and pregnant women is strategic, that's the main thing for me,” he said.
It is known that this last debate brought together three presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo.
The fifth debate theme is social welfare, human resource (HR) development and inclusion.
The sub-themes of the three big themes are education, health, employment, culture, information technology, and social welfare and inclusion.
