Marselino Ferdinan stood out when he made his debut with KMSK Deinze in the 2023/2024 Belgian League 2. Even though he played for 10 minutes, the Indonesian national team player was able to make a contribution when he led his team to a 1-0 win over Club NXT at the Schiervelde Stadium, Saturday (3/2/2024).
The only goal for KMSK Deinze came from Jano Willems' own goal (71'). This victory made the Orange and Black Team secure the top of the 2023-2024 Belgian League 2 standings.
In this match, Marselino finally got the opportunity to make his debut in the Belgian League 2. The 19 year old player came on to replace Guillaume De Schryver in the 80th minute.
Marselino did not contribute goals or assists in the match. However, the former Persebaya Surabaya player is said to have played well in his debut match for KMSK Deinze in the Belgian League 2 this season.
“Ten minutes before the match ended, (Marselino) Ferdinand also made his debut this season. Our international player, who also performed well in the Asian Cup, certainly stood out thanks to his neat actions,” wrote the official KMSK Deinze website, quoted on Saturday (3 /2/2024).
Of course, this is a good start for Marselino in the competition. With 10 matches remaining, KMSK Deinze must be consistent to open up opportunities for promotion to the top competition in the Belgian League.
Marselino himself has set a target to bring the Orange and Black Team to play in the top caste. This was conveyed by Marselino in an internal interview with the club.
“Together with Deinze, I want this team to be promoted (to the Belgian Premier League). That's all,” said Marselino some time ago, quoted from the official X account of KMSK Deinze, Saturday (3/2/2024).
