Suara.com – Australia-based Survey Institute, Roy Morgan, released the findings of the latest survey results on the electability of presidential candidates (candidates) in the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia. Roy Morgan's survey findings show that the electability of Presidential Candidate 03, Ganjar Pranowo, is far above that of Presidential Candidate 01, Anies Baswedan.
Roy Morgan noted that Ganjar's electability was at 30 percent, above Anies's 24 percent. Meanwhile, the top position was filled by Presidential Candidate 02, Prabowo Subianto, with a score of 43 percent.
“Prabowo has a landslide lead over his challengers Ganjar Pranowo with 30 percent (down 8 points) and Anies Baswedan with 24 percent (down 1 point). “Both of them (Ganjar and Anies) are still competing for second place,” said Director of Roy Morgan Indonesia, Ira Soekirman in a statement from the survey results, Thursday (1/2/2024).
Roy Morgan's survey shows that Ganjar still dominates Central Java. This province is known as the mass base of the PDIP, Ganjar's electability is great.
Ganjar, who is also the former Governor of Central Java, gained 56 percent of electability in the 'bullpen' province.
“In Central Java, Ganjar's home province, the PDIP candidate remains ahead with 56 percent of the vote, far above Prabowo (40 percent) and Anies is far behind with only 4 percent,” he said.
The main party that supports Ganjar, PDIP is also still the number one political party (political party) in terms of electability. Roy Morgan recorded that PDIP's electability was at 26.5 percent.

“When it comes to legislative elections, the Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) with more than a quarter of support (26.5 percent) is still leading, although this figure has fallen by 8 percent since the September 2023 quarter,” he said.
“Support for second-place Gerindra (Prabowo's party) soared, rising 5 percentage points to 21.5 percent,” he continued.
The Roy Morgan survey was conducted in October – December 2023 involving 2,561 voters aged 17 years and over.
Opinion polls were conducted throughout Indonesia using face-to-face interviews in 17 provinces. The survey error rate is pegged at approximately 2.1 percent.
