Suara.com – Suzuki Motor USA announced that it will temporarily stop sales of the Suzuki Hayabusa due to the potential for a brake fluid leak.
According to Suzuki, brake fluid leaks can occur at the connection between the brake master and brake tube.
As reported by Rideapart, Wednesday (31/1/2024), this leak can be caused by wear or damage to the connection. Suzuki will contact Hayabusa owners affected by this recall to arrange a repair schedule.
To find out whether the Suzuki Hayabusa is experiencing problems, consumers can check it manually as a first anticipatory step.
Suzuki Hayabusa owners are asked to check the brake fluid level. If the brake fluid level decreases significantly, it is recommended to immediately take the motorbike to an authorized repair shop.
Apart from that, Suzuki Hayabusa owners can also check the connection between the brake master and the brake tube. However, for safety reasons, owners are advised not to ride their motorbikes temporarily until repairs are completed.
For information, the Suzuki Hayabusa has a 1,340cc inline-four engine which is capable of producing power up to 187.4 hp. This sports motorbike from Suzuki was first launched in 1999 and has undergone three refreshes. The company last carried out a refresh in 2022.
