DOHA – Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae-yong stated that he was already comfortable with his team because of the great support from the supporters. The coach's contract will expire in June 2024 with his team.
Currently, the former coach of the South Korean National Team is fighting with the Garuda Squad – the nickname of the Indonesian National Team – in the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup. The team will face Australia in a match at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Sunday (24/1/2024).
Shin Tae-yong said that the Indonesian National Team does have a fairly large supporter base. This has earned him support from them to this day.
“When I work in Indonesia because of the support from the fans, I feel more comfortable,” said Shin Tae-yong in a press conference, Saturday (23/1/2024).
The coach from South Korea said that currently his team is currently making progress. He believes that this cannot be separated from the hard work of the Indonesian national team players.
“I think so far (our development) process is going well,” he said.
Shin Tae-yong explained that he was very grateful to have received support so far with the Indonesian National Team. He values that make him give the best contribution to his team.
“So, I feel very grateful and grateful for the support of Indonesian fans,” he said.
