In this debate, three vice presidential candidates brought together again, namely Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Mahfud MD.
Themes raised in the debate were sustainable development and the environment, natural resources, energy, food, agrarian affairs, indigenous communities and villages.
Different from before, this debate will be overseen by two female moderators, namely Retno Pinasti from SCTV and Zilvia Iskandar from Metro TV. The debate broadcast lasted for 120 minutes divided into six segments that had been prepared for the debate.
Before the debate was held, 11 panelists had been decided to formulate questions which would be randomly selected to be answered by Cak Imin, Gibran and Mahfud MD. The following are the 11 panelists for the fourth debate, namely:
