JAKARTA – Indonesian people are recorded to be the most active in using cellphones in their daily activities. In fact, the latest data records the highest screen time, aka looking at cellphone screens, for Indonesians in the world.
The research firm data.ai’s report entitled State of Mobile 2024 reports that the average duration of Indonesian people’s use of mobile phones will reach 6.05 hours per day in the 2023 period.
Data analyzing 20 countries also revealed that Thailand was the second country with the longest duration of cellphone use (5.64 hours).

From the type of viewing on cellphones, Indonesians are recorded to view a lot of entertainment content on short video services and applications. The accumulated time reaches 15 billion hours per year. This figure has increased drastically compared to 2022 which will still reach 9 billion hours per year.
