The 2024 Amateur Golf National Championship (Kejurnas) has been held at the Jababeka Golf & Country Club, Cikarang, West Java, Thursday (11/1/2024). According to the Chief Executive, Adi Saksono, this National Championship is not just an event, but also includes an educational message for Indonesian golfers.
“What is certain is that at this National Championship we are not just making an event, but we are also inserting an educational message for Indonesian athletes. Why do I say this is educational, because this National Championship looks different. This time we are doing it on foot without a caddy (the term for someone who is “golfer assistant). To be able to play optimally without a caddy and walking, you have to be physically and mentally strong, not just skill,” said Adi Saksono when interviewed by MNC Portal Indonesia at the location.
Furthermore, Adi gave a message to Indonesian golfers, including participants in the 2024 National Amateur Golf Championship, not to just show off their skills on the field. However, he hopes they can improve their skills, physical and mental abilities.
“So you need to remember for other athletes in other provinces, don’t just emphasize your skills, but also develop your mental and physical skills. Because it’s proven here, many are tired. But quite a few are actually better on the second day. This is “This means that skills, mental and physical skills are a unity that must be possessed,” explained Adi.
Meanwhile, in the 2024 National Amateur Golf Championship there are three categories, namely All, Men’s and Women’s. West Java athlete, Randy Arbenata Mohamad Bintang, came out as champion in the All and Men’s categories, while the Women’s category was won by Kristina Natalia Yoko (DKI Jakarta).
