According to a report from Carscoops, four Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers, Li Auto, Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and Xiaomi, will use Nvidia’s DRIVE technology to power their automated driving systems. Nvidia announced this news while attending the CES Show in Las Vegas. Li Auto will use the DRIVE Thor centralized car computer, while Great Wall Motor, Zeekr, and Xiaomi chose to use the DRIVE Orin platform.
Nvidia’s leading automotive technology is used by many brands present at CES. For example, the Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class, which debuted in the United States at the event, also uses Orin’s DRIVE system for automatic driving functions. The German automaker uses the Nvidia Omniverse platform to operate a digital twin of its manufacturing and assembly facilities.

Additionally, the Polestar 3, currently on display at CES, uses Orin’s DRIVE central core computer, while Zoox’s next-generation robotaxi also uses the same components. Lenovo also leverages Nvidia technology through its new XH1 central computing unit for advanced driver assistance systems.
Xiaomi SU7 is one of the new vehicles that uses Nvidia technology. It was launched at the end of December as the first electric car from this smartphone manufacturer. On paper, this seems like a pretty interesting vehicle. The size is slightly larger than the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.
The vehicle is supported by a platform that offers a high-voltage electrical system of 400 volts and 800 volts. The flagship model can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.78 seconds and has a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h). This is achieved with the help of its two electric motors, which produce a combined output of 664 hp.
