After that, the Indonesian national team had to face Iraq, which was strengthened by Manchester United player Zidane Iqbal, on the second matchday.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s final opponent in Group D is the Japanese national team. This World Cup regular team will certainly be the toughest competitor for Indonesia to qualify for the group phase. In the 2022 World Cup, Japan was able to make great strides by qualifying for the quarter-finals.
In the 2019 edition, Qatar won the Asian Cup after beating the Japanese national team with a score of 3-1. It will also be interesting to see whether the home team can defend their championship title this time.
