Suara.com – BRI Liga 1 club Borneo FC Samarinda implemented a unique strategy by selling tickets plus accommodation while at Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan.
Reported by Antara from the official website, Monday (1/1/2024), Borneo FC supporters bought match tickets which included accommodation from Samarinda to Balikpapan, which was a relatively long journey.
“We give a ticket price of IDR 130 thousand per person. This ticket can be used for round trip bus transportation of IDR 80 thousand and IDR 50 thousand to enter the stadium. “So the total is IDR 130 thousand,” explained Borneo FC Manager, Dandri Dauri.
Currently, Borneo FC has to move to the Batakan Stadium for the remainder of the BRI Liga 1 season because the Segiri Stadium, Samarinda is undergoing a renovation process.
Tickets for Borneo FC matches in the remaining competitions this season will be set at IDR 130 thousand including accommodation costs for return transportation from Samarinda to Balikpapan.
This strategy was carried out by management so that the team still received direct support from supporters even though they had to evacuate to the Batakan Stadium, which is the headquarters of the Liga 2 team Persiba Balikpapan. Apart from that, this policy is also to ensure the safety of supporters when leaving and returning to watch Borneo FC matches.
“It is very important for these supporters, and for them to commute by bus which must take the Balsam (Balikpapan-Samarinda) toll road. Don’t go past Soeharto Hill, I can’t bear to see it. “That’s sad,” said Dandri Dauri.
Later at the Batakan Stadium, Borneo FC will not only share with Persiba Balikpapan but also another 2023/24 BRI Liga 1 team, PSM Makassar, because the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium in Parepare, South Sulawesi is also being renovated.
Currently Borneo FC is at the top of the BRI Liga 1 standings with 51 points from 23 matches. Borneo FC will next host visiting team Persija Newsdelivers.com on January 6.
