The Deputy Minister of BUMN, who is familiarly called Pak Tiko, appreciated the efforts of the Bulog Corporation, which brought in Rice to Rice machine technology to ensure that not only the availability, the quality and quality of the rice was getting better and that it had halal certification. Apart from that, Tiko also ensured that the adequacy of rice stocks controlled by the government was truly guaranteed.
“By equipping Perum Bulog’s food warehouses with Rice to Rice machines, the government’s ability to manage food quality will also improve and we can fulfill efforts to ensure food availability in the long term,” said Tiko after seeing the RtR facilities and technology.
After seeing the RtR processing machine, Tiko also visited the Bulog Warehouse which has implemented a Warehouse Management System and is filled with abundant rice stocks for distribution needs of the Government’s Rice Reserves.
“We have seen for ourselves now how Perum Bulog is able to provide basic needs, especially rice assigned by the Government, in very safe quantities. “This rice stock is also available evenly in all Bulog warehouse units throughout Indonesia,” said Tiko.
Meanwhile, the Main Director of Perum Bulog, Bayu Krisnamurthi, who welcomed and accompanied the visit of the Deputy Minister of BUMN, said that since the implementation of Bulog’s modernization efforts, the quality of Perum Bulog’s rice has been guaranteed. Apart from that, distribution in emergency situations or to overcome the need for a surge in demand for rice and other food can also be carried out quickly.
“We have prepared as well as possible the positioning of Perum Bulog, so that currently Bulog is very ready to carry out its duties as the Main Operator to carry out food management assignments from the Government,” said Bayu.
Then Bayu also added that the rice stock currently controlled by Bulog is 1.6 million tons and this is added to the imported rice stock in transit so that the amount is very safe for distribution needs in 2024.
At the end of his visit, the Deputy Minister of BUMN and his entourage also saw Bulog’s Nusantara Food Center, with the name BOSSFOOD which sells quality products at affordable prices.
