Suara.com – Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo visited the Nguter Jamu Market in Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java on Tuesday (26/12/2023) morning.
The former Governor of Central Java received aspirations regarding permits and facilities that were complained about in efforts to develop herbal medicine products, especially the establishment of cooperatives.
Hearing this, Ganjar said he would maximize government assistance by providing facilities so that the establishment of herbal medicine cooperatives to house herbal medicine traders and businesses could be easier.
“There are several problems regarding obtaining permits, the IRT is easy but when it comes to BPOM and the requirements they need to be facilitated, then this is important to facilitate,” said Ganjar, quoted from his statement, Tuesday.
Herbal medicine traders and businesses, including the research team in Sukoharjo Regency, have also innovated by opening a herbal medicine cafe located in the Nguter Market area.
The products have even been exported to a number of countries such as Thailand, Australia and Singapore.
For this reason, Ganjar will accommodate needs related to the development of local herbal medicine so that it can become a herbal product that is popular in healthy lifestyles.
“The demand for herbal medicine cafes is increasing with the hope that traditional herbal drinks will become a lifestyle for people to live a healthy life, so we want to encourage that,” he said.
Embassy Office Becomes Main Warung
So that local herbal medicine products can become increasingly global, Ganjar also encourages Indonesian embassy offices abroad to become the main ‘stalls’ in marketing authentic Indonesian herbal medicine products.
According to him, this will be a very effective promotional event to introduce herbal medicine to the world community.
“It is important for fellow ambassadors that the ambassador’s office becomes an outlet, so that guests are treated to herbal medicine, then they tell about the herbal medicine, I think this is quite a good promotion,” he said.
“We will encourage this so that we become the herbal center of the world,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Rusmiadi, one of the herbal medicine traders at Nguter Market, admitted that he was happy with Ganjar’s arrival and conveyed his aspirations directly.
He hopes that Ganjar can encourage the development of local herbal medicine, especially the herbal market and herbal medicine cooperatives in Indonesia.
“I’m happy with his presence. I hope it can be more advanced and busier,” he said.
