Suara.com – Viral doctor who complained that a YouTube artist was rude during treatment. The artist couple was said to be arrogant and uncooperative when consulting with the doctor on duty in the emergency room.
“Mrs. Taylor, I was tired of guarding the emergency room on the night shift, plus I met YouTube celebrity patients, who were asked about their complaints at length, the answer was ‘I don’t know, just check’ while looking away,” wrote the doctor.
This viral video was immediately responded to by netizens. Not a few people say that doctors ask patients as part of the history taking. Actually, what is anamnesis and its function in treatment?
Quoting the book ‘Effective Anamnesis Techniques in Medical Practice’ written by Dr. Rudy Joegijantoro, MMRS, anamnesis is the process of collecting medical information about a patient’s health history and complaints, carried out by a doctor or other health worker.
Anamnesis includes medical history, family history, social history, as well as collecting information about the patient’s symptoms and complaints. Anamnesis must be carried out in a systematic and structured manner because it is an important part of the patient diagnosis and treatment process. Through anamnesis, doctors and health workers use the information obtained to help understand patient complaints in order to determine a diagnosis and treatment plan according to the patient’s needs.
In some cases, doctors may use family history to determine a disease diagnosis. Anamnesis also helps doctors identify whether the patient needs a referral to a specialist or inpatient treatment.

Furthermore, the author explains the ethical issues and norms that must be considered in anamnesis. Some things to pay attention to include:
Maintain confidentiality of patient data to create a sense of comfort. Be open and provide clear explanations to patients. Maintain politeness, respect the patient’s rights and dignity without discrimination. Be honest, convey accurate information regarding health conditions. Obtain patient consent before carrying out medical procedures. Respect culture, religion, and the patient’s local ethical values. Carry out anamnesis with consistency following applicable standards. Involve the patient in decision making regarding medical procedures. Use language that is easily understood by the patient. Be willing to learn from the patient’s experience and knowledge. Avoid the use of unethical technology, such as recording without consent.
These ethics and norms are important for maintaining good relationships with patients and obtaining accurate health information.
Tri Suaka and Nabila Maharani Clarification
The doctor’s viral post was apparently responded to by singer couple Tri Suaka and Nabila Maharani. Both of them provided clarification and said they wanted to straighten out the information circulating. Tri Suaka, who at that time accompanied Nabila Maharani at the hospital, said that what actually happened did not match the doctor’s statement.
“Suddenly it was busy, which I didn’t like, my wife was nudged. We were panicking at 1pm. But all the questions had been answered. They said that when asked, my wife was indifferent, that’s not the case at all,” said Tri Suaka.
At that moment, the pregnant woman felt pain in her stomach. So when answering a question it was accompanied by groans.
“You don’t know what position it hurts? His stomach, ouch, it hurts, doc, that’s it, that’s all,” said Tri Suaka.
“When I was asked which side the contractions were on, I didn’t know,” said Nabila Maharani.
